Tim L. Keyzers continued...
His current works focus on depth, clarity, color and detail to explore the human aesthetic response, something that has existed since the beginning of time but seems continually new and mysterious. “My work is my contribution to the universe. I seek to capture that spiritual nature of beauty, a beauty you can feel, and which transcends any category, language, age or culture.”
For a year and a half Tim was a manager at the organized glass studio of Chubby Glass in Boulder, Colorado. He taught lampworking to beginners. During this time Tim participated in advanced workshops taught by renowned glass artists Robert Mickelson and Milon Townsend. From 2005-2009 Tim was general manager of the nation’s largest importer and distributor of Italian glass rod, Frantz Art Glass and Supply. In 2008, as a guest of Effetre and Vetrofond glass manufacturers, he spent time in Italy, privileged to visit the studios of masters such as Vittorio Constantini, Lucio Bubacco, Davide Salvadore and Cesare Toffolo.
Tim’s work has been published in ‘The Flow’ and ‘Glass Art’ magazine. He has produced two instructional lampworking DVDs and in September of 2009 started Daft Glass, which is located outside of Shelton, Washington, on Oakland Bay, where he and his wife reside.
